According to Article 81 of Fundamentals of Russian Legislation on Notariate, a notary certifies the authenticity of the signature affixed by the translator who made the translation.

The source document is required:

  1. To be supplied in the original or a copy certified by an authorized person.
  2. To contain the required details (the date, number) and end with a signature and a seal.

A part of the document can not be notarized. The translation must cover the text of the source document in its entirety and be signed by the translator.

A notary?s record of verification is made under the texts of the source document and the document translation.

A translation made by a translation company, which contains one or more separate pages, is attached to the original document, tied together and affixed with the notary?s signature, seal and stamp indicating the exact number of pages.
