International standard ISO 17100:2015

We are happy and proud to inform you that on 22 November 2018, our company successfully passed the first recertification audit for compliance with the international standard ISO 17100:2015 Translation services - Requirements for translation services. As in the previous year, the audit was carried out by the Russian branch of DQS, an international audit and certification company.

Following the two-day audit, the auditors noted that all processes in the company were in full compliance with the criteria of the standard. The auditors also noted the significant role played by the company in the Russian translation market, a high staff potential and quality handling of all submissions received by the company, and gave recommendations for optimizing some processes in the near term.

ISO 17100:2015 provides requirements for the core processes, resources, and other aspects necessary for the delivery of a quality translation service that meets applicable specifications. Application of this standard also provides the means by which a translation service provider (TSP) can demonstrate conformity of its services to ISO 17100:2015 and the capability of its processes and resources to deliver a translation service that will meet the client’s and other applicable specifications.

Applicable specifications can include those of the client, of the TSP itself, of relevant industry codes, best-practice guides and legislation. This standard complements other standards specific to this field (e.g. the Machinery Directive or DIN EN 82079-1) and defines the general principles designed to ensure the quality of multilingual documentation.
